It is designed based on your overall goals and your weekly training schedule. An Athlete's Eating Plan includes 2 visits with a Sport Dietitian as well as computer analysis of your diet. Sample menus may be added to the Athlete's Eating Plan to show you what types of foods to choose and when to eat them.
Athlete's Update
Your needs vary as your training and competition schedule changes. Small adjustments can lead to large performance gains. Adapt your nutrition plan throughout the year. Updates can be in person, via email, or over the phone.
Body Composition Analysis
Athletic performance can be affected by body composition. Whether you are aiming for changes in physique or want to know at what body composition you perform the best, skinfold and girth measurements are an easy and inexpensive way to determine your current body composition and track changes over time. We follow the ISAK protocol to measure 8 skinfolds as well as waist, hip, arm and calf girths. Body fat percentage can then be determined from these measurements. You can add body composition analysis to any service.

I first came to Celeste Lavallee at Balance Nutrition on my doctor’s advice following poor blood test results due to months of following a “traditional bodybuilding diet”: excessively high protein, low carbohydrate, and no fat. Celeste educated me on the many myths that riddle the bodybuilding industry and provided me with a totally revamped diet plan. I was a bit apprehensive initially, as the plan she provided me was so unlike what I had been previously following. After all, this was a healthy, well balanced plan!! Celeste patiently reassured me that this plan would provide me with the results I was seeking. She was so right!! I was so pleased I decided to compete in the IDFA Western Canada Classic on October 23, 2010 in Calgary. In preparation for this, Celeste tailored a specific plan to cut body fat without compromising muscle over the span of 11 weeks. She closely monitored my progress with weights and body fat analysis and made the appropriate changes in order to have me peek on competition day. The results were amazing...not only did I place 2nd and 3rd, I felt great too!! A HUGE determining factor for success in the sport of bodybuilding is the diet and nutrition. Your nutrition has to be right on the money!! Celeste was right on the money!! I would not hesitate to recommend Celeste at Balance Nutrition. Thank you for the winning results!! Denise Thorsley |
